the deck was singing all day up until the finals, where i didn't see lumina until we were sub 10 life and i had a couple chargeless hands with full tempo, IPing myself pretty badly. unfortunately didn't take it home, but idk, i think boltyn is in a real good spot. edict of steel is gonna break the deck i think
went 2-1 at an armory with rok tuffnut! beat a newer player on mario, beat a very experienced cindra player, and lost to teklo
the mario game was pretty uneventful since they were new, but i did roll three 1s lol.
the cindra game was interesting, i found my go-again cards early and i was able to land a really important disarm trigger to save 5 hp, and i scowling'd to deny a double spreading flames turn. when we were at 19 hp (me) to 14 hp, i threw strongest survive, and he blocked 6, bought back a dagger, and passed, because he had 2 blues left with a known spreading flames in arsenal and wanted to make me have it. so then i rolled a 6 and swung 18 damage lol. i think i was still winning with a 4 or 5 roll, and it would be a close game with 2 or 3, but the 6 was absurd luck. his hands were also clunky, drawing a bit too many 1-costs, so his offensive output wasn't quite where it needed to be, but i ended at 13, only really taking damage to close the game out a bit faster with go again
the teklo game was going super well until they got all four evos and started sending 9 overpowers at me while i couldn't catch a break. three 1s, three rok whiffs, two cheer whiffs on my jaws of victory when i was ahead on life, never saw a big blocking card to coincide with the overpowers. i definitely boarded wrong, going back i would have made a lot of swaps to block the overpowers more readily and use my hands better. i brought in 3 good natured, 1 thick hide (only own one ;-;), 3 y buckwild, and 2 no hero. but i should've brought in 3 y agile windup, the third no hero, 3 never give ups, 2 numbskull charms, and left the good natured in the inventory, i think. plus probably take out some cards to go down to 60? not sure if i woulda won with proper boarding because the variance was rough, but o well, that's rok!

2-0-1 tonight, same list as before! beat a huntsman and an ira, then intentionally drew with a fatigue pleiades (they suddenly had a minor work emergency and i was chill with not playing it out lmao)
huntsman game was pretty weird. i boarded up to 68 cards since i knew they were hella fatigue. they hit my 1 remembrance on turn 0 with hunter or hunted, and later hit my 1 remaining engulfing light, but i found spirit kind of early and got some good value out of surprise luminas and courageous steelhands. got them to 1 after my last v of the vanguard and drew my last steelhand the next turn which closed it out, but i did only have like 2 more hands left with no gas
ira was a little more direct. i did have a massive misplay, blocking with boots just to banneret from arsenal for 4 go again nothing else, and kinda IPed myself lol. but other than that, i just played smooth turns, got spirit early, and luminad a few times. i don't think i even saw a v of the vanguard that game.
both opponents mentioned blocking out because i had to brick at some point. but boltyn just doesn't brick nearly as much as before. there are still some awkward runeblade hands, but a lot of things just kinda work and flow well. i've been experimenting with halo of illumination into the less disruptive fatigue decks to fix some of those hands too (turning on duty bounds is HUGE, it may not be charge but it has bailed me out a couple times).

i ran over a teklo again, but a different person this time who at least pressured me a bit. then played into a jarl, just played good value and happily pitched through some frostbites, played a double lumina turn and finished with a big ccat turn since i had like 10 soul lmao.
last game was into an rko, they went first and attacked with siren's, but i had saving grace and soul shield turn 0 with gallantry banneret so i got huge value, then drew into a v turn immediately that he immediately scowlingd, then i drew into spirit lol. i ran out of threatening cards when he was still at 15 or so but my hands just kept converting for good damage with duty bounds and courageous steelhands.
deck is feeling soooo good. if i was playing this weekend, i'd be bringing him for sure. also traded for a cf raydn today, and a bunch of rainbow foils, so he's getting blingy 
i'm really hoping new aurora is doing something a little more unique. but newscilio looks interesting, and zyggy looks SOOOOOO cool. very excited to try them out!

anyone else feel like the fai support feels kinda bad? like, good numbers for sure, but notably more variance and awkwardness. enflame is great, but art of phwar and fire that burns within are kinda clunky
cheating scoundrel really seems like this deck's premeditate, i'm excited to see where she lands with it and the new harpoon
went 2-1 at my armory today! won vs teklo and levia, lost to katsu. i sort of ran over teklo. i found spirit early against levia and drew lumina off a snatch so it went really quick, even got to no-blocks a bloodrush turn to close the game out with beaming -> red duty -> ccat -> 2x raydn with lumina. and the katsu game was super tight, they had the whelming both times they found surging strike, and they had flic flak when i +1d my bolt of courage with beacon (i should've +2d but soul was tight and a random draw might not have done anything with 1 less soul).
overall, loving how the deck feels with duty bounds, so many more turns are above rate, and soul feels much smoother. taking this to a win-a-box this friday! (edit: did not go to it lol)
